The weather was rather chilly when we reached Venice. We were famished and couldn't wait to check into our hotel and fill our stomachs.
I'm always excited to take pictures no matter what! Here's the first picture at Venice! Which Dear thought was nothing special. Hahaha...
We got to take a water bus to Lido Island where our hotel is. On the way, we caught sight of this nice gondola. Never expect the gondolas to be so grand and elaborate!
Our hotel: Hotel Reiter
The bulkiest key-chain we've seen.
The sun was strong but the weather was still cool.
Happy us at a cafe
However, the food weren't exactly great. Nonetheless, we need the energy they provide. Haha...
Just as we were walking to take the waterbus back to the mainland Venice, Dear saw this fat ballerina and insisted I pose like her! That's FEIFEI no 1 in Venice!
On the waterbus...Italia~~~
We finally reached San Marco, the main attraction of Venice. All the tourists were crowding to take picture at this spot. So we went forth and asked someone to take for us too. It's the famous Bridge of Sighs (Ponte dei Sospiri). The view from the Bridge of Sighs was the last view of Venice that convicts saw before their imprisonment. Hence the name.
Beautiful San Marco!
My cute Dear!
Dear saw this gondolia who's available and went to approach him. Hee, the gondola ride cost Dear 80Euros. But it's worth it! We kept smiling throughout the entire 45mins ride. Our gondolia was really nice who kept talking to us, showing us the various places, their history and at the same time gave us time alone. Haha. He agreed to take picture of us with the condition that the 2nd pic must be one with a kiss. And he even told us that lovers kiss under the bridge, so we must do so too. Hee.
We totally fell in love with Venice just by rowing along on this asymmetrical boat. It was quite sad that the ride had to end. But we will always remember the experience! Can't wait to go back there and sit it again with Dear!
We reached Rialto at the end of the ride and went to walk the inner parts of the island.
Our first gelato in Venice! It's the cheapest in Venice! There were also many more interesting flavors here!
Anywhere is good for a picture in Venice!
HUMONGOUS NUTELLA!
Bata here!?!?
Mac too!
All sorts of pasta, even different colours!
It's a pretty safe city even late into the night and some waterbus services run 24hours. We still saw many tourists (some with very young kids) roaming the streets into the wee hours.
A beautiful sight.
A metallic skull structure by the waters.
Us on the waterbus on the way back to rest.
We bought a pizza from a traditional pizza shop. It has to be one of the best pizza we ever tasted! Piping hot and very delicious!
