And we visited Palazzo Ducale which is a gothic palace in Venice.
Legendary gondola!
Some pics we took inside the palace. They used barricades to block certain openings/exits such that you must go through the entire guided tour they set for you. It was truly a neverending walk inside! Nonetheless, the place is indeed very nicely and purposefully designed and built.
After the long walk within the palace, we just grabbed food from a nearby cafe. Not very fantastic but we ate our fill. Our breakfast:
Back at Lido Island where we stayed. Nice FERRARIs on display~~~
This is a granite milkshake which really just seems like very coarsely grinded slurpy. But it was still good for us as we were really thirsty. It ain't exactly hot though, rather the sun was just strong.
The two of us decided to try riding this interesting looking double bike around the island. Dear did the real controlling by maneuvering his steerling wheel while mine was just a handle which renders no change in the direction we are heading. Hee. Singapore should bring in such double bikes for people like me who's not confident to cycle (2 wheels)! And relief to the people who they are pairing with on a straight-line double bike. Haha.
On the way, we chanced upon this FEIFEI statute. Hee.
More pictures with our bike.
A river we saw along the path we cycled.
Dear decided our bike needed some refuelling at a gas station. Haha. Feels as though we were the Flintstones! LOL.
Gelato! This has to be my favourite gelato! It's so uniquely pretty! Blue colour vanilla icecream with colourfull star-shaped flicks. Hehe. Dear went to buy this while I waited for him on the bike. And he came running back excitedly calling out to me with his proud purchase. So cute~
For memory sake...our lovely FEIFEI ballerina... Missing her already.
Opposite the train station where we came from and where we would leave for Rome that night.
One of the nicest pizza we ever tasted. You ain't had any real pizza until you've eaten one in Italy!
We never get sick of gelato! Venice's gelatos are the nicest and cheapest!
A kind of chocolate cake where the chocolate liquid will ooze out when you bite the exterior. The spongy cover has a powdery feel too. Yummy~
Oh mine, Venice is truly a place with interesting FEIFEI statutes! Dear kept laughing when I instinctively tilted my head the same way as her. Haha.
La Ballerina! Don't play play!
Around Rialto area once more. We did some shopping too. Bought lotsa tees there.
How can we ever leave this romantic water city without having a romantic dinner by the river? Dear spent a bomb again on this superbly pleasant dinner.
Bread on the house? In fact, almost all Italian restaurants serve bread before the meal.
Our assorted cold dish appetitizer.
Look at how gorgeous and wondrous the ambience, decor and scenery were at where we sat and ate. Hee. Never forget that experience!
Dear's main dish: Spaghetti with lobster I think. Or was it linguini? Hee. Both are well-liked by Dear.
My main dish! Ravioli? I think so~ It was delicious!
And Italian tiramisu~ Simply melts in our mouths and in our tummys. Hee.
The overall look of the by-the-river restaurant. =)
Beautiful scenery as we dine...
Like nice ornaments that go well with the good food...
Our Cappuccino! With the distinctive heart-shaped foam on top. Haha.
Truly love Italian food and culture!
