Our Wedding Shots

J&S @Europe08 Day 5: Paris

The 2nd Day in Paris. We woke up thinking it will be a hot day once again (despite knowing it will definitely be cold at night). So we got dressed in a super "typical summer day fashion" Lol.

We found this bread shop near our hotel and bought breakfast from there.

Look at the wonderful selection of bread!

The ones we got:

After walking a few metres, we saw a cafe that sells crepes! Haha.

Look at Dear! He's so engrossed with the guy making NUTELLA crepes.

In the end we also bought another nutella crepe.

Hee.

Me holding the bread we bought previously. Food don't come in plastic bags there. They come in paper bags. Hehe.

We went to this park/square called the Place des Vosage.

A column we saw along the way. It has the word Juliet on it.

A nice spot at the park.

Next up we had lunch! Haha...We followed the aroma of the food until we reached this cafe that sells Lebanese food.

The serving was quite big so we shared one meal.

Happy us! After food. Lol.

While eating...something caught our eye...

A huge (taking up much floor space) 3-wheel motorbike! Cool! BMW somemore. Haha.

We had already wanted to go to Centre Georges Pompidou and it so happens there's a signage behind the cafe that showed us the way there. Hehe.

We saw this Chupa Chups toy dispenser along the way and decided to get some toys for my nephews and niece and Dear's godson.

Finally at Centre Georges Pompidou! So windy!

The streets around it seems like a great shopping and chilling out place. Dear loves that area. But first we went into the building to visit the free museums. Hehe.

We love this red rhino! Haha. Oh, it's nice that we are allowed to take pictures inside too. Coz most museums/attractions don't allow that.

This is a super interesting and unique sculpture we saw. Triangle-love story!

Before leaving the building, we took a picture inside the tube-like section. Hee.

There's a very nice modern art fountain right outside.

I like this pic! Esp the angle it was taken. =D

Dear initially wanted to get me an Agnes B bag so we combed the neighbouring area for this street called Saint-Eustache. In the end we didn't buy the bag, but we discovered an interesting area which is not usually featured in tour guides.

The 大头 near Église Saint-Eustache!

Oh I haven't mention...It's super cold the entire day! Not like winter of coz...But definitely not something we expected for summer!

So, in order to save us from the cold, we went for a light tea time at our favourite Paul! Haha.

Look at this huge macaroon! The filling inside is like icecream! The ones we see in Singapore are no-match for it!

Not forgetting my favourite pastry from Paul during my time at my French Immersion.

After being "warmed up" at Paul...we headed to nearby shops to get some food to leave in our hotel room for dinner at night. We decided to go back and change into warmer clothes to come out for night shots.

A very small trolley beside me at this supermarket.

Showing you the wonder lift of our hotel...

The exterior

And the interior

You got to open the door and check if the lift is there before going inside and closing the door and gate before pressing the floor you are going and moving along with it. Haha. Think quite a number budget hotels in Europe have that (if they have lifts at all :p).

After the trip back to our hotel, we felt recharged and went on to capture more night shots!

Paris at night is really beautiful.

Pont Des Arts...Here's a bridge that's very happening with lotsa groups of people eating and drinking and basically chilling out on it. It has a very unique/arty design too! But only for human traffic not for vehicles.

The colourful night sky.

Dear's artistic shot of yet another couple. Haha.

The nicest night shots for that day has to be the ones at the Louvre.

Dear seems to love the glass pyramids. Haha. This pic is his phone's wallpaper now!

The beautiful Louvre interior.

It was still very cold despite putting on warmer wear. Haha. Nonetheless we endured the cold to take our pictures!

The Metropolitian sign.

Back at our room...our food awaits...

The highlights have to be...

The Le M mac burger. Lol.

It's really very tasty. The bread is very unique too. Too bad Singapore don't have.

And not forgetting the cheap red wine we bought from the supermarket. (red wines are really cheap in Paris). That really kept us warm. Hehe.

In fact the Paris hotel room has no aircon nor fan, but it is still quite cold at night. Hehe. A nice cosy family hotel with a friendly Ah Pek receptionist. :)
