Our Wedding Shots

J&S @Europe08 Day 7: Milan

Bonjour! Our final day in France, we had McDonalds for breakfast at CDG Airport, nothing beats having a nice morning breakfast before your flight in a foreign land with the best travel partner of my life!

McMuffin w/bacon and egg
McDonald's yoghurt, mixed berries , quite tasty actually
Hot piping coffee!
Tangy orange juice!
The plane we're gonna board. easyjet airlines, one of the leading budget airlines in Europe.

Nice wing shot~

After touching down in Italy at the Milan's Malpensa Airport, we took our luggage, boarded a Malpensa Express bus which brought us to the heart of Milan, where we checked into Hotel Sempione which by far was one of the better lodgings we stayed in for this trip!
Freshened up, we made haste to explore Milan! Took a train down to Duomo where the famous Duomo di Milano (Milan Cathedral) was.

This was where Dear was terrorized by pigeons! Some guy came and offered her some seeds and the pigeons started flocking to her palm! As you can see from the picture, Dear beared through the ferocious pecking birds with a brave front!

Next up the massive Fashion site know as Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II where most branded luxury goods boutiques can be found. Such as Prada, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, D&G etc... all clustered at one location. It was located just adjacent to the Duomo!
Dear in front of a Mercedes-Benz boutique, where they sold all sorts of Mercedes merchandise.

The LV boutique. Oddly the staff at the Italian outlet seemed more snobbish than the French one. The retail assistant who served us in France was really helpful and eager to please hahaha

AH, this unlocked the beginning of our Gelato frenzy! Our first scoop of italian gelato! Coconut flavor if i remember correctly! From this, we had scoops after scoops of this delectable treat everyday (sometimes more than once a day) and everywhere we went! YUM!

I dare you to eat this!

Dear posing with a painting by her favorite artist, Botero. She has a thing for chubby and rotund things.

Some painting which we found amusing. haha

This was quite common. A fountain spilling ice cold water onto slices of Coconut! A refreshing treat~ though the flesh was quite tough!

See? I told you we really had a few gelatos in a day. This one was mango flavoured....  2nd of the day

Dear posing beside a massive teddy bear art piece.

Me inside the Ferrari store, which sells all authentic Ferrari merchandise! Did you know that Ferrari is based in Italy?

Hehe I'm a Ferrari supporter! Champions of 2007!

Dear standing proudly outside her Mercedes Benz boutique.
Nice car on display in the boutique!

This stall sold a shocking variety of baked and fried goods!  I've never seen anything quite like it in my life! As you can see from the picture, I was feasting my eyes at all the tasty treats!
eeeny meeeeny miney moe.... I wish I could have them all!

As dusk was approaching, we had to find our dinner, managed to order take away pizza from this nice little restaurant.

We shared a Margherita Pizza, which was a simple pizza topped with tomatoes and mozarella cheese. Nice!
A chocolate pastry bought from the stall with a million treats! haha!

Thus ended our first day in Milan! Woo, more to come! Day 8 was really fun!
