Our Wedding Shots

J&S @Europe08 Day 2: London

Day 2! Even though our hotel room at Easy Hotel (Victoria) was really small, but the bed was still rather comfy! Haha. Here's the exterior of our hotel.

We bought breakfast from Sainsbury Local (a large convenience store) and had it on-the-go. We started the day by going Tower Hill area to visit Tower of London, Tower Bridge and St Katharine's Dock.

Outside Tower Hill tube station, there's this touristy shop with this statue of an executionist and his axe. Hee and Dear decided to pose for this pic!

In Tower of London:

Dear with the canons!

The door is just the right height for me!

Ravens..."Legend says that the kingdom and the Tower will fall if the six ravens ever leave the Tower. The ravens have become one of the Tower's most famous sights."

We witnessed this interesting Charging Guard procedure outside the Jewel House. It was rather funny when the guard "wobbled" sideways in a super animated fashion. Dear you remember??? Hee.

Dear loves lions!

Pictures taken at the gift shop:

There's many Yeoman Warders taking care of the Tower of London and acting as guides to visitors. We wanted to find a really old and fat one. But we only managed to find one old and skinny one and another younger and fatter one. Hee. So here's our pics with the two Yeoman Warders!

We were wondering what the sign E II R means. The Dear went to ask one of the guides in the Jewel House and she told us it's Elizabeth II Regina (Queen of Great Britain). Hee.

History makes us hungry...

Time for food!

I have been telling Dear about the nice bangers and mash at St Katharine Docks I had the last time I went London. So in order to let him know I hadn't been bluffing him, I brought him there!

A yacht we saw at the dock. White Princess. Hehe.

Next, we proceeded to South Kensington area!

Hee this is an interesting sign! "I won't eat smelly food" Hee.

We visited the Science Museum and National History Museum as well as Hyde Park.

Inside the Science Museum:

Miss England. Haha.

A huge tyre!

The Albert Memorial. Look at the beautiful cloudy sky!

Hyde Park. A super huge and green park. Nice for chilling out together with friends and family. Outdoor music concerts can be held here too!

Statue of Peter Pan - The Boy who never grow up.

These ducks look like the ornament ducks I have at home!

We found the Princess Diana Memorial Park too. It was so packed with people!

There's this long "canal" of water where people love to dip their legs in. Haha.

After lingering a while at Hyde Park, we took a direct bus back to Victoria where we had dinner and went back hotel to rest a while before going back to Westminster area to capture some night shots.

A friendly and helpful british lady helped us take this pic! She took like maybe 10 over shots to get this? It's despite the limitations of the camera and the cold! So nice of her! Though not exactly a perfect shot, but the best of all.

We should really save up to get a good DSLR camera and learn the functions well to capture better pictures in future Dear!
