James - Homemade Bak Kut Teh

Dear and myself have not cooked for a long time, that day Dear suddenly asked me if we should cook dinner tog while walking around a supermarket, so I suggested Bak kut teh, something new we have not tried cooking before.

Thus we bought the BKT pre mix, spare ribs, garlic cloves, red chili at the supermart and went home gleefully to prepare the peppery broth!

Here's our results!

First attempt not so bad ain't it? Note that it is darker in colour because we bought the 'Kau' aka Stronger version and not because we had a miscalculation of dark soya sauce OK?



What's BKT without some cut chili drenched in Dark Soy Sauce... Boy was the chili spicy man! Burnt my poor little mouth!


Dear bought some Red Dragonfruit, IT's SUPER SWEET CAN? But damn expensive man this exotic fruit, per fruit is selling at $2 at supermarkets.
