Yesterday, Dear and me went for our cell group BBQ at Valley Park Condo...Man, the weather was soooooooooooooooo good. Haha, okies, it really was good initially. I was actually hesitating whether or not I should go... But Dear was in charge for the BBQ food. He has to go and buy quite a number of stuffs before meeting another CG friend and then go down by cab together. I was also quite reluctant to miss out on the fellowship with the members. So for the good of my Dear and my CG, I went! LOL, I'm making myself sound so noble sia. I have to say I totally enjoyed buying the stuffs with Dear at Bedok Sheng Song. Going to the supermarket with Dear has always been nice. :)
When we finally reached the condo BBQ place, we began setting up everything. Dear and a couple of guys did the fire while some of us did some miscellaneous stuffs like cutting bread, watermelon and sausages. Haha.
Though throughout the whole time, it kept raining cats and dogs on and off, Dear had a pretty good time BBQ-ing with Jepisco and I had a great time talking to my cool chem eng senior (now NIE trainee teacher) cum Jepisco's gf, Poh Fang. Haha. She was saying the whole time, I'm only fellowshipping with her. *faints* Haha. Dear and Jep were quite fortunate to be sheltered (maybe by the palm trees) from the rain for quite a number of times when it poured but it came to one point when the rain was simply too heavy to continue BBQ-ing. And the four of us plus Colin (who came to help) took whatever was worthy to take and ran to hide under some proper shelter. We had a mini party of the remaining edible BBQ food beneath the shelter. It was quite hilarious. LOL.
I really wonder did anyone really have a proper serving of BBQ food yesterday. Haha. Maybe we'll do better the next BBQ during the subzone chalet. So many things we could have done better man. Nvm, we'll learn from experience. Haha.
Oh and we totally enjoyed the song item by Xiaorong. She's super daring and brave to sing in front of all of us. Wahahaha. And she can sing! NICE. :) Not to forget...we were really amused by Jep and Poh Fang when they sang in their high-pitched Chipmunks voices. Haha. Every couple no matter how serious they look, have their child-like side together too...! Right Dear? *winks*
We celebrated Jingli's birthday yesterday and today's her actual birthday. Happy Birthday! I doubt she reads this blog. Haha. Nvm.
Sorry for all words and no pictures...CG never take pictures yesterday. :( At least I don't remember there were any taken. Dennis and Carol, must remember to bring camera for the next BBQ! Don't forget the SD card! Haha.
Thankfully, we had a nice CGL who sent many of us to Tiong Bahru MRT, else really dunno how are we gonna get out of that place. Thanks Simon!
Dear and I bought some toiletries and Tiong Bahru Plaza before grabbing a seat and a simple vanilla icecream at Mac. Hee.
