James - Weekend fun!

We had dinner on friday before CG at Bugis. DD was utterly famished when I met her, I immediately whisked her off to Terra Cafe for a nice dinner! Poor baby, skipped her lunch because of her FYP...

We ordered 2 set dinners, consisting of:

• a soup
• a main course
• dessert (a single scoop of vanilla/choc ice cream)
  

The Roasted chicken w/ steamed rice.

The Roasted Chicken is well, to sum it up in a word, PLAIN. I mean, nothing much unique or interesting is done with it. The generic sauce that came with it only acted like a gravy for the rice and didn't improve the taste of the chicken whatsoever. I think it's still acceptable tho I would like to try something else the next time.

The deep fried Dory w/ Linguine

Which by the way was rather dry and tasted bland, the linguine was stir fried if I'm not wrong, which didn't really complement well with the pastey tomato sauce *note that the amount of sauce they gave was pathetic. The dory was scattered with some flakey dusty stuff, I really can't tell what it is also? tasteless breadcrumbs? The fish wasn't very flavourful either. quite disappointed

The weekend's finally here! Had a wonderful Saturday spent together... here are the highlights!

This week's menu is:

1. Thai Green Curry w/ Oyster Mushrooms, Chinese Cabbage and chicken Served with Steamed White Rice

2. Deepfried Shrimp wrapped w/ Potato strips

And needless to say, it tasted awesome! Nothing beats cooking/eating at home with your sweetheart! *grinz!*
