Sheena - Java Kitchen, Munchy Donuts, Teachers' Day & 6-0!

Last saturday's weather was just so SALA! (my term for wrong). One moment it was raining, the next moment the sun was shining brightly. After my 2 tuitions, I met up with Dear at Singpost and headed down to Tanjong Katong. We were actually hoping to go to the newly opened (or so we thought) Miss Clarity Cafe there. But it still hasn't open yet. :( At least the Munchy Donuts that we wanted to try was open. Haha. At first sight, those donuts were very pretty! But...Haha...I'll save the detailed description for later. Anyway, we ended up having Indonesian Food for dinner...

Everyone...the above is a NEGATIVE DEMOSTRATION!
The food there isn't nice at all! I had a few mouthfuls & I just couldn't go on eating. In fact, that few mouthfuls deprived my stomach of the space for good quality food man. I don't think Dear's rice was too nice as well, but my DD isn't someone who complains too much, unlike me. BOOHOO. But the ULTIMATE was the "sweet" iced tea that we paid extra for (than the normal iced tea), and it wasn't sweet at all! Even after we requested for additional sugar syrup, we still got a bitter iced tea. Bleahz... SO...you should know best whether to visit this place. :)

However, we still had a saving grace for the day...The Munchy Donuts!


The shop is actually beside that Java Kitchen, that was why we even thought of entering the latter. Haha.


The two donuts we had after the yucky dinner. Hardly consumed much of my lotong, that green tea + white chocolate + red bean donuts was too good for me. Hehe. Of coz my chocolate monster DD had his share of sweetness. Hehe.


I think this backdrop is just so cute. The shop walls have quite a few of these cute cartoons. Haha. I felt like the little girl holding that huge green donut. Haha.

Of coz, we also bought a box of donuts back for my family. Heh.


One is not enough?!? FEI FEI ah... Haha.


Haha, how abt 12? Haha. The quality of the donuts has a great disparity over all its flavours...The oreo one is damn nice...But those that has glaze on top and filling inside were terrible. They were mostly either too rich or the filling inside were just butter cream. Disgusting fatty neighbourhood bakery cream. Hai. Next time, shall just buy all oreos...Or maybe some other no filling donuts. Haha.

When we got back...I showed Dear the flower my student gave me for "Teachers' Day"...

HAHAHA...so amusing! :) Quite sweet of that student. Never really considered myself a teacher...Just a tutor. Haha. All in all, still a great day. :)

And what's more...Liverpool stomped to the top of the Table after thrashing Derby 6-0 at Anfield. Hee. SWEET! But too bad, I can't find the goals on Youtube. :( Nvm, Liverpool rocks. SO nice to watch the match with DD every week. :)
